On March 16, 2025, the dead bodies of two siblings, identified as Ali and Ahmad Wannous from Mrimin village in western rural Homs governorate, were found by local residents in Talaf village in southwestern rural Hama governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Ali’s and Ahmad’s deaths as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying their killers.
