A man, identified as Swedan Ghannam from al-Arima village to the west of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot dead on February 28, 2025, by unidentified gunmen near al-Sa’idiiya village to the west of Manbij city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities in protecting civilians in their areas, investigate this incident, and make the findings available to the public.
