A man, identified as Kenan Suleiman from Bustan al-Souj village, administratively a part of Drekish subdistrict in rural Tartus governorate, was shot dead on February 1, 2025, by unidentified gunmen when he was in his taxi near the al-Hal Market in Tartus city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
