On January 25, 2025, the dead bodies of two men, identified as Rami Amer Shabika and Mahmoud Khaled Dahbour both from al-Mazza neighborhood in Damascus city, were found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents in the agricultural lands on the road between the towns of Kelli and Batbou in northern rural Idlib governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who was responsible for Rami’s and Mahmoud’s deaths. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying their killers.
