Subhi al-Wawi, a Civil Defense volunteer from Baqqeen town in northern Rural Damascus governorate, was shot dead on January 3, 2025, by unidentified gunmen while working in Damascus city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
