Five civilians injured in the detonation of a car bomb of unidentified source in E. Aleppo, January 23, 2025

On January 23, 2025, a car bomb of an unidentified source was detonated on Tareeq Aleppo Road in Manbij city’s western neighborhood in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. Five civilians, including a boy, were injured in the bombing, while the perimeter fencing of the Educational Complex was partially destroyed, in addition to damages to the National Hospital, Barkal Hospital, Mustafa al-Bakkar School, and Zidan Henthel High School. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
SNHR condemns all bombings targeting civilians and vital facilities. We call on the controlling forces to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians in their areas, to investigate this incident, and to make the findings of the investigation known to the public.
