A man, identified as Ayyash Mohammad al-Abd from al-Shannan village in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour who was a water vendor, was shot dead on January 15, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in al-Shannan village. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
