On December 14, 2024, the body of a man, identified as Fawzi Samir al-Hakim from al-Murabit neighborhood in Hama city, was found bearing gunshot wounds by locals in his shop in al-Murabit neighborhood. The area is under the control of the forces currently in power in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify which party is responsible for Fawzi’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
