On October 26, 2024, a rocket launcher and artillery forces fired multiple rockets and shells at Um Shakif village and Marea city in eastern Aleppo governorate, injuring nine civilians, including a woman and two girls. The area targeted is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) suspects that the source of the attack was either Syrian regime forces or Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), considering that the projectiles originated from the direction of the areas under their control. Investigations are still ongoing to accurately identify the party responsible for the attack.
