On October 25, 2024, the body of a man, identified as pharmacist Ibeid Saleh al-Khalaf from al-Baghouz town in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate was found bearing gunshot wounds by the locals on the outskirts of the public road in al-Baghouz town. Ibeid’s body was found after he had gone missing one day earlier. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Ibeid’s killers as of this writing, with the controlling forces bearing responsibility for identifying his killers.
