On July 14, 2024, one man, identified as Ayman Swed from Bza’a city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was killed, while five others, including one child, were injured by the explosion of a war remnant of unidentified source. The object exploded inside a refrigerator trick as the victims were transporting goods in Tadief city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that war remnants continue to pose a serious threat to civilians’ lives. We have released numerous reports on cluster munitions and other war remnants, calling for securing equipment to help local residents to safely dispose of the various explosive remnants.
