A man, identified as Ryad Mohammad al-Mhesin, was injured on May 30, 2024, in crossfire amid clashes between an unidentified armed group and Syrian regime forces in his hometown of Mahajja in northern rural Daraa governorate. The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to determine with of the two sides was responsible for Ryad’s injury. SNHR condemns what happened. The controlling forces bear responsibility for holding the perpetrators accountable.
