A man, identified as 40-year-old Nasser Haytham al-Haffouni, was killed on May 23, 2024, by a shot in the head of unidentified source in Awn al-Dadat village to the north of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate. Nasser was shot as he was trying to cross the al-Sajour River to irregularly enter the areas under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA). The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify Nasser’s killers as of this writing. The controlling forces bear responsibility for identifying the killers.
