A 14-year-old boy, identified as Omar Hamid al-Rahmoun from Basqala village in southern rural Idlib governorate, was killed while two other 14-year-old boys from the same village, identified as Mohammad Ibrahim al-Mousa and Khaled Ahmad al-Rahmoun, were injured on March 7, 2024, in an attack by Syrian National Army (SNA) forces who targeted the three children using projectiles and machine guns as they were trying to reach areas under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) via the axis of Mar’anaz village in northern rural Aleppo governorate. The area is under the control of the SNA.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that the three children were wearing military attire when they were targeted.
