On June 6, 2023, the body of a civilian, identified as Abdul Qader Ahmad al-Sa’ed from Idlib city, was found by local residents in agricultural land near Fayloun village to the south of Idlib city, bearing five gunshot wounds.

The area is under the joint control of armed opposition factions and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to identify Abdul Qader’s killers as of this writing, with the controlling forces bearing responsibility for identifying his killers.
