Ibrahim al-Hanout al-Hariri, man aged 45 from Busr al-Harir in eastern Daraa governorate, was killed on December 28, 2022, in an IED blast whose source we have not been able to identify yet, on the agricultural land located on the road connecting the two towns of Busr al-Harir and Nahta in the eastern suburbs of Daraa governorate.

The area is under the control of Syrian regime forces. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses and survivors to obtain more information.

SNHR condemns all bombings targeting civilians. We call on the controlling party to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians in areas under their control, investigate the incident, and make the investigation’s findings known to the public.

Syria will never have true stability without atrue political transition process to implement democracy enacted within a fixed timeframe.
