On December 15, 2022, a fire broke out in the caravan housing an IDP family in Mohammad Mursi Widows Camp in Mash-had Ruhin, northern suburbs of Idlib governorate.
One girl and her father sustained varying burn injuries in the fire, which was caused by the misuse of a space heater, while the residence’s contents were moderately damaged.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights urges international relief groups to act urgently to meet the basic needs of IDPs in camps, and calls on the camps’ administrations to secure additional tents for emergencies.
