Obada Hawadi al-Mrar, from al-Jee’a village in western Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on December 4, 2022 by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) servicemen who were pursuing him in the Badiya of Abu Khashab village, northern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights notes that, through this act of killing, SDF has violated international human rights law, and that the perpetrators must be held accountable.
