Mustafa Ali al-Salama, from Daman village, which is administratively affiliated with al-Bseira city in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on November 19, 2022, by unidentified gunmen who we have not yetbeen able to identify in al-Tkihi village, eastern Deir Ez-Zour governorate, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We condemn all acts of killing targeting civilians, and call on the controlling parties to uphold their responsibilities for protecting civilians living in areas under their control, and to launch an investigation into this incident and make its details known to the public. Syria will never have true stability without a true political transition process to implement democracy under a concrete timetable.
