Yahya Hasan al-Muslim, from al-Hawayej village in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was arrested by members of the Syrian Democratic Forces backed by a US-led Coalition forces’ helicopter on October 13, 2022, after they raided his house in al-Hawayej village and took him to an undisclosed destination.

SNHR indicates that his phone was confiscated, and he was prevented from communicating with his relatives. We fear he may be subjected to torture and go on to be forcibly disappeared, as has happened in the cases of 85% of detainees.

SNHR calls for financial and psychological restitution, as well as for an end to all arbitrary detentions that spread fear and terror in society and blackmail the families of the detainees.
