A woman, Alya Ali Hamid, from Jadid Kahit village in eastern Raqqa governorate, was shot and killed on August 24, 2022, by unidentified gunmen in the village, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses to obtain more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all killings of civilians and calls on controlling forces to assume their responsibility for protecting the civilian population in areas under their control and to launch an investigation into this incident and reveal its conclusions to the public.
