The body of a civilian, born in 1982, Bassam Khudr al Sawadi, from al Mra’iya town in the eastern suburbs of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was found by the residents in the Third Section in al Hol Camp for IDPs of al Hol town in Hasaka governorate eastern suburbs, on July 9, 2022, bearing stabbing wounds. 

The area is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces. SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for his death. Although the controlling forces in the area bear responsibility for revealing the party responsible for the killing, these forces haven’t launched any investigation, which indicates they may be involved in this murder and similar incidents.
