Fifty-five-year-old civilian, Rebal Fadlallah al Meqdad, and instructor at the Educational Complex in Busra al Sham east of Daraa governorate. Unidentified gunmen stopped the bus he was riding on the road between al Sahwa village and Busra al Sham city east of Daraa governorate. The gunmen forced Rebal of the bus and shot and killed him on June 22, 2022. The area is under the control of the Syrian regime forces.
SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses for more details of the incident.
SNHR condemns all killings of civilians and calls on controlling forces to assume their responsibility for protecting the civilian population in areas under their control and to launch an investigation into this incident and reveal its conclusions to the public.
There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
