Director of the Humanitarian Relief Organization (IYD) in the city of al Bab in eastern Aleppo governorate, Amer Alfin from Homs governorate, was killed on June 15, 2022, due to the explosion of an improvised explosion device planted by an unknown party in a car in al Gharbi neighborhood in the city, which is under the control of the Syrian National Army.

SNHR is still trying to reach eyewitnesses for more details of the incident.

SNHR condemns all explosions that target civilians indiscriminately and calls on the controlling forces to shoulder its responsibility in protecting the civilians in its territories. SNHR also calls on the controlling forces to launch an investigation and reveal its results to the public.

There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
