The body of a displaced woman, her name yet to be identified, was found in a sewer pipe in al Hol Camp for IDPs near al Hol town in the eastern suburbs of Hasaka governorate on May 14, 2022, bearing gunshot wounds. The camp is controlled by the Syrian Democratic Forces.  

SNHR has so far been unable to identify the party responsible for her death. Although the controlling forces in the area bear responsibility for revealing the party responsible for the killing, these forces haven’t launched any investigation, which indicates they may be involved in this murder and similar incidents.
