Qasem Abdul Mun’em al Malouh, from al Basira city east of Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot and killed on April 17, 2022, by unidentified gunmen in the city, which is under the control of the Syrian Democratic Forces.
SNHR condemns all killings of civilians and calls on the controlling forces to assume their responsibility for protecting the civilian population in areas under their control, and to launch an investigation into this incident and reveal its conclusions to the public.
There will be no stability in Syria without a genuine political process moving towards democracy, implemented according to a set timetable.
