Syrian Democratic Forces targeted Civil Defense rescue workers east of Aleppo on April 18

A guided missile fired by Syrian Democratic Forces exploded near civilians on the bank of Euphrates River near Jarablus city in Aleppo governorate northern suburbs on April 18, 2022, wounding two of the civilians, while another who was present there is still missing; after Civil Defense rescue workers (White Helmets) arrived at the scene and while they were searching for the missing civilian, the SDF fired another guided missile targeting the Civil Defense vehicle, wounding three of the White Helmets and severely damaging their vehicle.

SNHR condemns this attack on civilians and Civil Defense rescue workers and holds the Syrian Democratic Forces accountable for these crimes, calling on the SDF to launch an investigation and hold the perpetrators accountable.
