Two children 16-year-old Hussam Ali al Nawas, and 17-year-old Mohammad Obaida al Hani, both from Ma’dan Ateeq village of Ma’dan city in Raqqa governorate eastern suburbs, were abducted by Syrian Democratic Forces personnel near Tal al Bay’a Camp in east Raqqa city for military conscription on January 14, 2022, and taken to one of the SDF’s conscription centers.
SNHR notes that the children’s parents weren’t notified of their conscription, and the children haven’t been allowed to communicate with their families, who also aren’t allowed to visit them.  We fear the abducted children may be deployed, directly or indirectly, in military operations. SNHR confirms that at least 156 children are still in Syrian Democratic Forces’ conscription camps.
