A man, identified as Ibrahim al-Hassan from Um Mayyal village in the rural area of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, was shot and killed on March 14, 2025, amid clashes between General Security personnel and unidentified gunmen in Manbij city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to determine which of the two warring parties was responsible for Ibrahim’s death. We condemn what happened. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in holding the perpetrators accountable.
