On March 16, 2025, the dead body of a man, identified as Yasser Yousef al-Bustani from Homs city’s Ekrama neighborhood who worked as a taxi driver, was found by local residents in Homs city’s Bab Dreib neighborhood one day after he had been abducted by unidentified gunmen in al-Hadara Street in Homs city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Yasser’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
