On February 25, 2025, the dead body of a man, identified as Ali al-Hamidi from al-Terwaziya village in northern rural Raqqa governorate, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents near Ayoua area (administratively a part of Slouk town) in northern Raqqa governorate. The area is under the control of the Syrian National Army (SNA).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Ali’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
