A man, identified as Ahmad Ali al-Saeed from Raqqa city, was killed on February 24, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel who raided his house and shot him dead in Raqqa city’s al-Tayyar neighborhood. The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Ahmad is a civilian who had never been involved with any military formation.
SNHR notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
