A man, identified as Najm al-Sattam from Theyban town in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was shot dead on February 10, 2025, by unidentified gunmen in Theyban town. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
