On February 9, 2025, a drone believed to be operated by Turkish forces bombed a house in Sakirou village, administratively a part of Ein Eisa subdistrict in northern rural Raqqa governorate, killing a local boy, identified as Salah Khalaf al-Salama. The area targeted is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that Turkish forces have violated international humanitarian law by killing civilians through this indiscriminate or deliberate bombardment, as they have failed to distinguish between civilians and fighters.
