On January 23, 2025, the bodies of two siblings, identified as Ma’an and Madin al-Hassan from Tal Snan village in eastern rural Hama governorate, were found bearing gunshot wounds on the outskirts of Dnin village in northern rural Hama governorate. Ma’an and Madin had been abducted earlier from their homes by unidentified gunmen who also stole all the house’s contents. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Ma’an’s and Madin’s deaths as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
