A civilian was shot and injured in his feet on January 23, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel who shot him directly in Ja’dat al-Sam’ouat village to the south of Ein al-Arab city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, while he was heading for the Euphrates River. The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law by targeting civilians. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
