A man, identified as Lusyan Haddad from Latakia city, was shot dead on January 22, 2025, by unidentified gunmen while he tried to stop them from looting a small street shop in al-Jumhuri Street in Latakia city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
