On January 22, 2025, the body of a man, identified as Ibarhim Ajaj from al-Araba’in neighborhood in Hama city, was found by local residents on the outskirts of Hama city. Ibrahim, who worked as a photographer for the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA), was abducted one day earlier by unidentified gunmen. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify who is responsible for Ibrahim’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
