A boy, identified as Ahmad Mohammad Izzdin al-Shlash from Theyban town in eastern rural Deir Ez-Zour governorate, was killed on January 20, 2025, by gunfire of unidentified source in Theyban town amid clashes between Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and the Arab tribes forces. The area is under the control of Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify the party responsible for Ahmad’s death as of this writing. The warring parties must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
