A man, identified as Hani Hammoud Judiya from Qesama village in eastern rural Suwayda governorate, was killed on January 15, 2025, by a bomb in al-Tayba village in eastern Suwayda governorate. Another man, identified as Amro al-Hussein, was injured in the explosion as well. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
We also condemn the unchecked circulation of weapons among civilian populations with no restrictions or regulations. The controlling forces must contain and address this issue.
