A man, identified as Ali Abdul Razzaq Wannous from Ma’rin village in the rural areas of Jabla city in rural Latakia governorate, was killed on January 16, 2025, by the explosion of a landmine of unidentified source while disarming landmines in Jabal al-Akrad district in northern rural Latakia governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
