On January 12, 2025, the dead bodies of Hassan Mousa and siblings Mohammad, Fawwaz, Ayman, and Reda Yassin, all from Raqqa village in western rural Homs governorate, were found bearing gunshot wounds in a water pool inside an abandoned residential building near al-Mazra’a village in western Homs governorate. The victims had gone missing while on their way to an agricultural land near al-Mazra’a village. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not been able to determine with party was responsible for these deaths as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying the killers.
