A man, identified as Mohammad Tarif al-Hamdou, from al-Sfira city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate and born in 1980, was shot dead on January 13, 2025. Mohammad, who was a member of the Association of Detainees and Missing Persons of Sednaya Prison, was shot by unidentified gunmen in al-Furqan neighborhood in Aleppo city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
