On January 12, 2025, the dead body of a man, identified as Adnan Yousef al-Tir from Meleh town in eastern rural Suwayda governorate who worked as a farm guard, was found bearing gunshot wounds by local residents in the vicinity of al-Kafr town in southern rural Suwayda governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify which party is responsible for Adnan’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
