A man, identified as 21-year-old Abdul Mu’men al-Ahmad from al-Wa’er neighborhood in Homs city, was shot and killed on January 12, 2025, by Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) personnel after he entered Deir Hafer area in eastern Aleppo governorate by mistake. The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
