A boy, identified as 14-year-old Mahmoud Khaled al-Yousbi from al-Jasmiya village to the east of Manbij city in eastern rural Aleppo governorate, died on January 10, 2025, of gunshot wounds sustained the day before, January 9, 2025, when Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) opened fire randomly in al-Jasmiya village. The area is under the control of SDF.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) notes that SDF has violated international human rights law through this act of killing. The perpetrators must be held accountable.
