A man, identified as Saqr Mohammad Jnoud from Saqya Najm village in western rural Hama governorate, was killed on January 6, 2025, by the explosion of a landmine of unidentified source while disarming landmines in al-Karim village in western Hama governorate. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.

The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
