On January 4, 2025, the bodies of four civilians from the same family, originally from Ma’aret al-Nu’man city in southern rural Idlib governorate, were found by local residents in Jabal Hass area on the outskirts of Hass town in southern Idlib governorate. The bodies were found two days after the family had gone missing. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to determine the cause of death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying their killers.
