A boy, identified as seven-year-old Karam Rakan al-Wahban from Shahba city in northern rural Suwayda governorate, was killed on January 3, 2025, by gunfire of unidentified source near his family’s house in Shahba city. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) has not yet been able to identify which party is responsible for Karam’s death as of this writing. The controlling forces must uphold their responsibilities in identifying his killers.
