A man, identified as Fahd Ahmad Thyab from al-Sanamayn city in northern rural Daraa governorate, was shot dead on January 2, 2025, by unidentified gunmen who raided his uncle’s house in al-Sanamayn city when he was there. The area is under the control of the current transitional authorities in Syria.
The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR) is still trying to locate eyewitnesses to obtain more information about the incident.
